This isn't "damage control!!", but I sense a lot of angst about the commercial success or level of acclaim of this already (though it's faring fantastically), and just want to assist in moving people away from a "lead single = best song on album, most successful song on album, most remembered song". It's smart to ask the so-called experts at radio shows, other artists and fans what they think before the general release.

I just can't wait to see her. I didn't realise how much I missed her until she came and snatched me

That's true.

But you have to take into consideration that she came from an underperforming era, "flop" if you take that especially in atrl, she bounced back with an increase in spins. I think it's good so far.

Wasn't really dragging it, just accepting / referencing a worst-case-scenario view of the song that I sense some people are reverting to.

Maybe it's completely different in the Northern hemisphere - but from my end I just know it as a song that I never knew before specifically listening through the album, it was snubbed by Glee during that little Madonna-revival phase for the younger generation, etc. I don't think it's been performed by her on tour for a decade now either, nor was it featured at the Super Bowl. But maybe it was a bad example

See I was under the impression that the song was written / completed / recorded around May, but what's the tea guys? Any hints about the timeframe?

I love finding out when songs were written from the album - like I remember someone mapped out an ARTPOP timeline, because we found things out like Do What U Want being penned during the EU leg of the BTWBall.

Ok after multiple listens the song has grown on me a bit. I still wish the lyrics were less repetitive and her vocals were more polished.
