I loved Bad Romance on first listen. I remember buying it straight away and I never even stanned for Gaga

Perfect Illusion however is still not good after listening to it a good few times

I liked Bad Romance since the demo leaked and I didn't feel the same thing with PI.

Who cares. The two songs are not comparable at all. One is great. The other one is...meh.

I just re-listened to Bad Romance, and it just has a certain charm that PI is severely missing. Maybe it's nostalgia, but something about the chorus is haunting and is just easy to vibe with.

Perfect Illusion's chorus is just shouting and not nearly as melodic.

Perfect Illusion has been planned by all the major critics.

"Poor man's Poker Face remake"
"Sounds like she's singing with a head cold"
"The ra ra roma ah and gaga ooh la la is embarrassing and gimmicky"
"Chorus is underwhelming and doesn't have a hook"
The video was a big game-changer for BR, so hoping the same happens for PI.
