Trump gets called out for his temperament and looking orange all the time. Regardless, none of those things would have any effect on her polls. It's her own actions and they way she handles controversy that sinks herself. Gender is not the factor you want it to be.

Once again, there are actual videos, you know, evidence, of Trump supporters saying a woman can not be President because of her "hot flushes".
Christian Leaders have come out against her saying not only can former Senator Clinton not be president, she shouldn’t even be the “ruler” of her home under “God’s law.”
Yet apparently "gender isn't a factor in why people don't like her" - yet that point has failed to be backed up.
