There's one article stating this, and it's from a random Australian radio station's website. That's hardly "a proof". If it was iHeart radio here in America stating this, seeing as they've actually had the song played for them, it would have a lot more credibility. As it stands, though, there's no reason to believe this until we have other sources to back it up, and all other evidence/common sense points to this being wrong, so everyone should definitely take this with a grain of salt.

Because she hasn't announced the album early like she did those times, and she didn't release the singles from those records 5 months out, like it would be if it actually did come out in February. BTW was a little over 3 months before the album, and Applause was a little less than 3 months before the album. It's obvious she's not at all following any of the old ways that she used to introduce and release her eras, so. If you think Gaga and her label would release the single 5 months before the album, while having the first single peak well before the album release and having to bet on the 2nd single being a big hit before the album release (which they wouldn't even be able to release until the beginning of January at the earliest because it's never wise to release new singles during December), while purposefully missing all holiday sales, then I don't know what to tell you, except that's just utterly ridiculous.

Yeah, it makes close to no sense really. Most logical thing would be to release during november at this point. Yeah, she'll face top competition but it's still the best couple of months to release during the year.

I would be surprised and very interested in knowing why a label would aprove to release a single 5 months prior to an album release. It seems rather non-sensical.

Rolling Stone confirmed yesterday in their Fall Music Preview 2016 that the album will be out this fall, not in February. They said it'll be "Likely out October". Now that's an actual credible source.
