I love how she says, "This is how we are treated!", while she gets in her luxury car with her over-the-limit gift card of $400 that's against the policies of the grocery store.
Not to discount her but clerks/anyone can treat people like **** everywhere. It's not always race related. Unless the clerk said, "You're black, no card for you!", then I fail to see how this is racist? There's not even any hint at why it would be because she's black. Feelings aren't facts. Zendaya thinks she is being a "voice" but all she does is create more tension, like this entire thread
I was training some new hires today and one of the customers heard the guy was Latin and said, "I'm not through to America, am I?" and then let out a big sigh. That's racist, pure and simple. This? It's hearsay. A judge would throw this case out in two seconds.
I don't really care about this girl, but there was probably some racism going on there, and if you weren't there, then of course the person in question will deny it. Duh
I would have just assumed it was because she's young so the employee wouldn't have expected her to be able to afford that unusually high amount in gift cards. I mean, she didn't even mention any reason why she believed it was due to her skin color. I'm not going to feel sorry for a rich celebrity just because she couldn't buy gift cards at a store.
"No rice, no spice, no chocolate, calling out racism is cringy" strikes.
You all need to stop making "no rice, no spice, no chocolate" happen. No one actually says it un-ironically. It's just a lame attempt to find an excuse to hate on white gays without being seen as politically incorrect.
So, a store employee was rude to her. Where's the racism part tho?! Did employee said something to her? Or she just assumes that employee was rude because racism?
The fact that noone made it about race besides her and her friend the fact that they just ASSUMED it was a race issue to begin with makes me hate this woman as a person all together.

This happened to me too, but watch "no rice, no spice, no chocolate, no Zendaya" tell us that they're following us in stores because we look shady.
Plus, Zendaya has almost no black features about her. I doubt the average person even sees her as being black
Basically. Plus, I've come to learn that there's this unspoken impression among white people that lighter skinned black people are better off as compared to their darker counterparts which makes me doubt this is about race at all.

I mean...even SJW's call it "light-skin" privilege
This whole desperate attempt by Zendaya and her friend to be seen as oppressed is honestly laughable.
America is obsessed with race. The rest of the world laughs at them. Donald Trump as the next leader lol.

Didn't y'all just destroy your economy and trade deals (and ARE building a wall) over some immigrants and through a public vote? Child, be quiet.
All the people in here trying to speak on the anti-blackness Black Americans face daily while probably going through life hardly even interacting with black people.
My only question is, how / why would the store clerk have HER wallet in the first place? Do you let cashiers handle your wallet when you pay? Plus that store is like in SoCal, which has a very diverse population.
