I don't have an issue with minorites playing villains, I have an issue when all the main villains are minorities, especially when it's in a high school setting, how many of us LGBTs have commited or attempted suicide because of harassment at school? And you want us to play the bullies too?

I feel like you're discussing two separate issues.

POC get painted as thugs and criminals often in media, sure, but the characters described in the OP aren't those archetypes. The "HBIC/Mean Girl" archetype has typically been preppy white girls. I personally think it's a neat idea to flip the script and have an all minority group be the top of the hierarchy. And LGBT are always painted as victims, why not be the bullies for once? It's not as if gays being catty and judgmental is exactly a stretch, just take a look on this site.

Not sure how I feel about there being a reboot. They won't be able to capture the dark humor without it feeling like a try hard Ryan Murphy mess. The original is beyond iconic.

I'm confused, how are they going to make this an anthology series? And why?

So many things about the original movie would absolutely not fly in 2016. And with TV Land airing the show, this reboot is going to end up a watered-down mess.

I have a feeling this will be low-key tragic but we shall see. I love the original and it was such a trailblazer for so many other shows/movies like Mean Girls and Scream Queens.
