The Government of Canada resettled 25,000 Syrian refugees between November 2015 and February 29, 2016.

This number is growing more and more. We don't put them in refugee camps, we provide them with housing for them and their families and pair them with canadian families for integration, guidance and help with their arrival.

Of course we don't have a massive amount of Syrians like in Europe, but we don't put them in camps or leave them in the streets.

25000 Germany took in over a million. How are they supposed to instantly find a million spare beds in a country that is 3 times smaller than Canada's habitable area alone.

Lebanon hosts approximately 1.1 million refugees from Syria which amounts to around one in five people in the country

Egypt hosts 117,658 refugees from Syria

Germany has pledged to accept 39,987 but that doesn't negate the fact that there are hundreds of thousands of refugees flooding into the country. Canada is in a different situation where 25000 refugees means 25000. They don't have the same problem of refugees flooding in uncontrollably unlike Europe. The international firestorm if they sent all of the refugees back to a war zone would be crazy or even the backlash for the refugees themselves.

Canada's solution is not Europe's solution simply due to sheer volume. Germany has a population density of 228 people per sq.Km. This is in comparison to Canada that has a mere 35 people per sq.Km of Canada's habitable area alone, 7 times less. This is an astounding difference. Germany can't afford to house all refugee's individually because space is not easy to find and the same can be said for most European countries. Land is very expensive and houses unless very isolated are going to be expensive. Refugee camps are the most realistic and all that the government are really going to be able to afford considering the sheer volume to accommodate and the costs associated with doing so. A high density site close to local facilities is all you can expect in a place like Europe in such a short space of time.

Paris of all cities? It's small and flooded with tourists every day. They don't need refugees when there are actual homeless people they could be helping. Send the refugees to UAE or Saudi Arabia. They can get work building high rises there, and they already speak the language.

Absolutely ridiculous that they're putting it in Paris.
