I travel regularly from D.C to NYC and basically live in both places and the freaking tourists I swear.

It was cute for the first two weeks and then got old real quick. It's always Brits with their Starbucks coffees who stop you in Brooklyn to take pictures/*ALWAYS* ask for directions to the most random ass places/recommendations I QUOTE "any secret restaurant?" Like i'm actually gonna tell them. It was especially bad today.

I wish I was more like my friends and just ignore them but i'm always the one stopped and I try to make their damn visit pleasant I guess

Do any of ya'll deal with this ish in your city?

Just ask them if they have a phone, point at it and say well.. if you search.. then kinda walk away while they're not looking.

Helps if you can do an accent, pretend you're lost yourself. LUNDUN SO BUSY EY. SO MANY CARS WOWIE!

I work next to the visitor center in Wellington so lots of lost tourists clutching maps, but generally they're fine. I've helped people with directions, but yeah a LOT different from somewhere like New York which must have like a million tourists at any given moment.

That being said - we get a LOT of cruise ships in summer and it's always fat white people that dawdle down the main shopping road and NEVER walk on the left where they belong. Drives me cray cray.

Like, some tourists are REALLY nice and just looking for some general guidance..but others are just nauseating. I feel bad though cause I see some natives just completely roast they asses sometimes

Tourists can be kind of annoying here, but it's not remotely as bad as NYC or DC. They mostly stay in and around downtown which is nice, but they do completely takeover downtown at times. They also get crazy drunk and ignore the walk lights, ride around screaming all day on pedal taverns, and make the lines long at the popular restaurants and bars.

Nah, I like them. They're often pretty hot... especially the Brazilians, Germans, and Italians here I'd happily show them the way to my secret restaurant.

There are more tourists walking around than people who actually live here in my city but i'm okay with them

I work at Six Flags. So yes, I deal with tourists every time I work. They're ok, just my only complaint is that I'll sometimes get guests that aren't very good with English so it can take longer to get transactions finished up.
