Gomez told fans that she had to cancel because she was fighting complications from lupus. However, an inside source told us the hiatus is related to Gomez’s pill-popping meltdown.

The insider added that Gomez was caught using “Lunesta, Ambien, Klonopin and Xanax. Not all at once. And more ‘recreational’ than any one thing specifically.”

This isn’t the time Gomez has faced rumors of drug use.
Back in 2014, the singer was sent to a rehab facility in Arizona while reports indicated that she had been abusing Xanax, Ambien, and marijuana.
Of course, Gomez denied the drug use and instead announced that doctors had diagnosed her with lupus.

I think there may be some truth in it. Btw these are medications commonly given to lupus patients, just that it looks like she went overboard with it. And they confirm that she does have Lupus, just that it is not reason she is abusing pills, but how would they to know it they are not doctors?

Why do people like you not believe she has lupus? I don't understand it, why do you think that she doesn't have it? She may have a drug problem too, I'm not denying that, but she obviously has lupus.

She does have Lupus. She needs to prove it so the health insurance service pay the coverage of her tour cancellation. My uncle said the fact that she has a serious illness makes cancelling her tours very easy financially, although it hurts the promoters reputation
