At my school in Finland, we just skimmed the surface of the hetero sex mechanics. Protection methods and std symptoms were taught well. LGBT+ matters were mentioned once.
My school had an abstinence based curriculum. It was pointless. I ended up taking health twice since I got sick at the end of my freshman year and didn't bother doing the health final. The second time was a bit more informative since the teacher that time had actual teaching experience. But it was still "Don't have sex at all. You'll die"
Straight sex? I mean, maybe. Somewhat. I had a teacher one year who was wild and talked about **** rings and how to spice up sex between a man and woman to get the guy to wear a condom because pregnancy was emphasized.
Gay sex? Not at all. It was things like teachers awkwardly adding "or boyfriend" into their sentence when addressing guys and how to treat their girlfriends with respect or vague mentions of "your sex partner".
We learned mostly about straight sex education and my teacher basically made me think that i'd get an STD if my penis even went near another person. We learned nothing regarding same sex education
