Lena Dunham apologises to Odell with sincere Instagram post
Quote:
I owe Odell Beckham Jr an apology. Despite my moments of bravado, I struggle at industry events (and in life) with the sense that I don't rep a certain standard of beauty and so when I show up to the Met Ball surrounded by models and swan-like actresses it's hard not to feel like a sack of flaming garbage. This felt especially intense with a handsome athlete as my dinner companion and a bunch of women I was sure he'd rather be seated with. But I went ahead and projected these insecurities and made totally narcissistic assumptions about what he was thinking, then presented those assumptions as facts. I feel terrible about it. Because after listening to lots of valid criticism, I see how unfair it is to ascribe misogynistic thoughts to someone I don't know AT ALL. Like, we have never met, I have no idea the kind of day he's having or what his truth is. But most importantly, I would never intentionally contribute to a long and often violent history of the over-sexualization of black male bodies- as well as false accusations by white women towards black men. I'm so sorry, particularly to OBJ, who has every right to be on his cell phone. The fact is I don't know about his state of mind (I don't know a lot of things) and I shouldn't have acted like I did. Much love and thanks, Lena
Meh, I still think this Tumblr generation is the pit really Bringing up false problem to begin with, and then having to apologize due to your own stupidity and how you NEED to see a form of oppression in every situation possible... There's real problem out there, so there's clearly no need to have those extra people around. She's still a huge mess.
She was angry that Odell, a black athlete, only looked at her once. She then implied with no evidence whatsoever that he sat on his phone and paid her dust because he didn't want to have sex with her.
Very insincere, she's always been utter garbage and I'm glad everyone is aware of it now. The sad thing is that her "career" has been so underwhelming, this is many people's first time hearing of her.

She created, wrote and starred in a show she won awards for. I'm sure your "career" is miles ahead.
What she said about how he treated her was probably true, but she's stupid to speak about. Everyone knows that today if you're white just can't say a word about a loved, famous black celeb that you'll get automatically dragged on twitter, called a racist, blah blah blah...
"Sexualisation of black men"
"History of white women accusing black men"
She's so overdramatic and annoying she was pissed the hot guy didn't care about her.Nothing more or less. These people have to turn everything into something it's not.
