Did Gaga kill lots of careers in her Electro-Pop Prime?
When Lady Gaga introduced electronic pop in the music industry back in 2008, many artists that we all loved from the early 2000s struggled with their careers... Many R&B artists and rappers' career died in her reign. R&B died when her music exploded. Electronic Pop became mainstream.
Rappers/R&B/Pop singers shifted to electronic pop and struggled (ex: Nelly - to name a few)
Did Lady Gaga killed the careers of:
Alicia Keys
Usher
Ashanti
Christina Aguilera
and a handful of rappers/singers?
First of all Gaga did NOT start the electronic pop trend.
Also:
Alicia Keys had a highly successful album "The Element of Freedom" in 2009 - after Gaga debut
Christina killed her career herself, she could just continue the Back To Basics direction and be fine. She just chose to act overly sexualized (for Bionic) and people weren't there for it.
Not at all considering Alicia Keys had the hit Girl on Fire in 2012 Usher had OMG in 2010 and DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love in 2012 Christina Aguilera having the Grammy winning hit Say Something in 2013.
Nicki Minaj, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, JAY Z, Kanye West, J. Cole and several other rappers having several hits after 2008.
Like you'd have to be extremely delusional to believe anything in the OP.
