There is literally NO competition right now?

No hate for Beyonce but, 10 years ago Beyonce would be ONE among many talented artists, there's no other talented pop star right now.

There is Rihanna, Katy, Taylor, Miley, Selena, Ariana, etc. And I'm not shading them because I like most of their music, but they aren't as entertaining as pop stars used to be 10 years ago in the 00's.

For example, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Nelly Furtado, Fergie, Kelly Clarkson, Shakira and much more. Pop culture was way more exciting 10 years ago.

Before her Self Titled album, she was already successful but she didn't have the status she has right now in the media/awards/charts,etc. In my opinion she wouldn't be the "Queen" she is for the media if she had more competition.

But 10 years ago Beyonce WAS very successful amongst the pop girls then. She was competing with Nelly, Avril, Christina, Britney, Rihanna etc.

I get what you're saying, back in 2003-2009, Beyonce definitely wasn't exalted as she is today but a lot of that is because she proved herself.

In 2006/7 though I remember Beyonce being just as popular as Nelly, Avril and Fergie etc. she had hits and everything but she has been getting more praise post 2011.

Why would she have the status she has NOW when at this point 10 years ago, she was only kicking off her second solo era and hadn't even started her first proper world tour? It takes time and consistency to develop the sort of brand cachet and status she's achieved at this point. You're claiming she's only successful for lack of proper competition, but ignoring the fact that she's outlasted pretty much every one of those competitors you're claiming she'd be ignored in favor of 10 years ago.

That makes no sense.

4 leaked early and she had to completely revamp the era because she got pregnant.

It was obviously an underperformance for her (bad first single choice, for one) but it wasn't really completely ignored. It's quality is one of the reasons why she's so exalted now.

Bey has been besting her competition in one manner or another since 97. It's VERY rare for an artist to be consistently on top of near the top for her entire career. You only need look at Britney, Xtina, and the others to see that.
