Yes we do. The media hardly ever portrays Black, Chinese, Indian, Arabic, First Nations (etc..) beauty at all. Even in foreign countries you see the negative effect that colonization has made through odd and unnatural beauty procedures just to keep up with Euro centric beauty norms and standards.
No. In Japan and Korea etc they don't give a ****. Can we Europeans and European Americans please stop being so full of ourselves?
Except in Japan/China they do promote EU standard of beauty
If anything black countries/people are probably the ones who deviate most from European standards of anything but that's cause we're the stark oposite most of the time.
In the Western world, yes. Well it's understandable given that the vast majority are white
But I see what you mean, the power of American/European culture and media is huge around the world.
The white tall blue eyed blond man and woman are widely regarded as the ultimate beauty standard and it generated in Europe. I would say we have strayed away from that standard a bit but it's still very much present in our society
