Last.fm is amazing
I'm surprised people on ATRL don't know what it is. That's how I founded it back in 2006. I've been scrobbling since.
Basically if you are obsessed with charts, this IS for you. Without intentionally going out of your way, you can tabulate your listening habits. Like in 2007/2008 when Gimme More leaked in full, I played it 100 times a week for a long time and it's one of my top tracks on Last.fm. Same for Jesse's "Leavin'"
You can regulate between Top artists for past 7 days // month // 6 months // year // all time (or songs too). So if you want to get a certain artist in your Top Ten, you need to "who*e" them out. I want to get San Cisco, Hurts, and Passion Pit in my Top 10. So some days I listen to ONLY them just to increase their play count.
Anyways, I've listened to Glory 122 times in the past 7 days and it was the only artist scrobbled.
I thought I listened to somebody else, but apparently not. Queen's impact and still listening to her.
None of these artists released 10 dance-pop singles in a row.
