But Sony didn't commercial release some singles because they didn't like the direction Mariah was heading towards to.

For Britney (2001), Zomba should've been more wise.

2. Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know
3. Anticipating
4. I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet a Woman
5. I Love Rock N Roll

If Zomba and BMG released I'm A Slave 4 U as either a Cassette or CD single other than a irrelevant 7'' single, then it would've went number one and it would've been more convenient.

1989. Style and Wildest Dreams could've gone #1 with actual promo / more interesting videos / streaming availability.

Into The Groove was a global smash and would have hit #1 if they had released it properly in the US
And then one of Angel or Dress You Up would've been the 5th #1. Both were huge on radio, but not promoted or had a video. One of them could've made it to #1 with a proper launch

Taylor with 1989. Had she not stripped her music out of spotify some of her songs could of had a big shot I think.

The Fame.

Just Dance, Poker Face & Starstruck are easy #1s. She would've had to promote Paparazzi to the very max + release it at a time with little competition & give LoveGame a very controversial video. Then they might have been able to hit #1 also.

For me, I would've liked Paparazzi to be the precursor (or aka lead single) from the Fame Monster, because the song and album share a similar theme!
