There's literally not a link between a religion and the killing in the article though. She was muslim but this has to do with the backwards mentality of her family and ex-husband. This is an awful crime and we shouldn't be judging religions based on it (even if I do believe this world would be better without any of them).

Her death happened last month, I think it was posted on atrl too. The story here is that they have discovered that she was raped before she was killed, which makes things a lot worse.
Gurl, this is why i saw if you're in the west, don't go back to old country. This seems common in parts of Pakistan, not so much other muslim countries.
Although the girl in the article happened to be Muslim... honor killings are very common in Hindu and Sikh households too. India needs to educate people about how horrible honor killings are since it is so common in that country.
This is beyond sad and horrifying. The fact that she trusted her family enough to visit them says a lot. I hope the father's eyes are opened one day and he realizes exactly what he did.
