It would have/would perform better if they would actually work on it and bring more features into the game. Letting it sit without a tracking system when its a game based on it for this long deserved to fail. If they introduced tracking back, new gens and legendary events from time to time and included things like trading and individual batting it would be doing much better. Letting Niantic a small company handle the game has lost them A LOT of profit potential.

I feel like it is but the truth is it probably isn't.

I think it also has to do with the fact that for a lot of countries summer break is over so most ppl don't have as much free time to play, also the weather is starting to get cooler and as it gets colder less and less ppl will be willing to go on a walk to snatch pokemon etc...it's just really a seasonal type of game tbh...they should start promoting and upgrading once spring 2017 starts.

But, at least to me, it's seemed that the GP that latched onto the game so quickly is beginning to get over it. I hear about the game exponentially less than I used to. People don't walk around in droves looking for Pokémon anymore. It happens, nothing wrong with it. The game will probably remain popular among Pokémon fans for a while.
