Have you ever gotten your wisdom teeth removed?

I just did this morning and goosshhh I'm in so much pain rn. Cant wait till i get my medication/pills.The procedude wasn't so bad as o thought it would be tho, I thought it would take a while for me to fall asleep under the gas, but it only took a few minutes , I don't even remember how I feel asleep and entering the surgery room.

What was your experience with wisdom teeth?

I don't have them

I still have mine, but I might need them out because they are growing the wrong way.
I do know that wisdom teeth removal is the most unnecessarily done surgical procedure in the US because it's a cash cow for a bunch of oral surgeons. So, if you are getting them out make sure it's actually necessary before you go through with it.

Had my wisdom teeth removed years ago. Don't remember too much from that day other than stumbling down the hallway to my mother's car.

Yeah, mine was removed with surgery because it was very leaned towards the other one. It only hurt for one day but it was enough, it's painful once the anesthesia is gone.

I got an IV so I was completely knocked out, woke up and was fine didn't feel drugged at all that's why I'm not sure how real these wisdom teeth videos are
I felt pain for like 2 days and then it was fine, really NBD

I didn't feel any pain.

I don't remember how I fell asleep either, I just know they laid me down and inserted an IV and I looked up and my friend was like "Let' go" and I'm like "Why won't they start" and he's like "It's over lol". They too out all 4 wisdom teeth, put me on Tylenol and Hydrocodone. As long as I took both every 6 hours, I didn't feel any pain until a week later when I decided to stop taking meds.

Oh also I'd feel a little pain in the morning when I woke up before taking meds. Hydrocodone makes you feel amazing to say the least

I did few months ago (only took out one after looking @ my x ray) and was under local anesthesia (doctor's suggestion). Didn't feel a thing and was conscious throughout the whole procedure. You do get this weird feeling when the doctor snatched your tooth out tho. I mean you can't feel a thing but your heart starts racing when you heart those tools click-clacking and pulling your tooth out.

Took about 1 hr to get it done (prolly less) and went home and slept with a gauze in my mouth pressing down the extraction region to stop/slow bleeding.

Got a TERRIBLE, almost unbearable headache + jaw-ache when I woke up and realized the anesthesia's effect was gone
Thank god they gave me some meds for that (it's bound to happen)

Mine grew in fine and I never got them out

my advice:
• change guaze pads every few hours
• follow medication as directed or you'll puke your brains out like I did.
• clear liquids and soft foods are your friends
• straws and solid foods are your enemies
• speaking of guaze pads, buy extra in case what the doctor gives you is not enough

I need two of mine out and I can't wait
