… and writing response, where you write your answer instead of choosing from a few choices
so, which one do you prefer the most? I prefer multiple choice, bc when I do writing responses I get carried away sooooo easily I sometimes trail into other thoughts and sometimes I write too much stuff and end up with two paragraphs and ****
Multiple Choice. I've gotten like 80% on multiple choice exams that I didn't even read the material for, whereas I'd be f***ed if it was written response.

Yeah, that's another thing, when you see the answer as an option, you have a better chance at remembering it, whereas if you've forgotten it, you won't because writing portions are empty and won't jog your memory.
I always say multiple choice but I do better on essay questions. Maybe I've just gotten lucky but I'm amazing at bull******** essays.
That said, it also depends on the subject area. Psychology multiple choices tests are HELL because there's tons of "A and B" or "All of the above" and every option sounds right, but multiple choice is useful in Math because you can work backwards.
For easy classes, I prefer multiple choice. For hard classes, like my science classes, I prefer writing response because then you could get partial credit. If you don't know 1 thing it can completely throw you off from the right answer. Also, I've found that a lot of professors love being tricky little bitches so I have to be extra careful and make sure I learn everything about everything or else I'll get the answer wrong.
Mostly, Multiple Choice. For courses like Science or Math, the teachers are usually the type that can wipe away all the BS I'm spewing in my written responses and see that I know nothing but in courses like History or English, the extra BS can get you marks.
