If it's standing room, get there early and move if you're next to people that are annoying (there are usually a lot of them).
If you go with someone, make sure it's a person you're comfortable being around.
If you're going alone, try finding other people that are there by themselves and talk to them (there's usually more than you'd think).

Don't be scared to talk with new people.

Wait in line all day for front row or don't bother going unless you're very tall and/or strong.

Are you standing or sitting?

If standing don't be afraid to push a hoe to get to the front, get in line early unless your super tall, make sure you bring water and go to the rest room beforehand cause you'll be standing for a long time and it gets super hot and gross, and don't be a dick and hold your phone up and record cause it ruins it for everyone behind, quick 10 second vids to Snapchat is fine though. Also find pictures of a previous show to determine where its best to stand depending on the stage. For ArtRave it was a nightmare trying to decide where to stand to have the best vantage point for the show. As the show progresses and you find the mosh too overwhelming don't be afraid to head to the back cause you can still see them better and there is plenty of room to then dance.

If your sitting go whenever and have a good one.

Bring a portable charger if you have an iPhone...that's more like advice if you go to a festival tho, but could still be helpful.

What's the venue size? only been to places with capacity for like 500 people and it's awesome you can see the artists up close

Get front row or theres no point

go reasonably early
eat before
only record/take pictures for bits of it, it's a bit of a pain and you miss a lot
