Not at all. Colton struggles with anxiety and has done since a young age, that worsened after he was told that his sexuality was the reason that his father committed suicide. He since battled with severe anxiety for having to lie in the press and avoid questions about his partners (one being a boyfriend of six years) to the advise of everyone in the industry telling him that's the only way he will be successful. His story in a well-known gay magazine helps and supports millions of others who may have problematic parents and even those who think that their sexuality is wrong and they too will amount to nothing.
The only reason why he's getting this award is cause he came out where's the activism?
I agree that he did nothing to deserves this, probably it's a pr way to make it more public or a sort of 'debut' in the high gay class society, don't know but congrats, he's a nice guy.
