Who could forget that! Britney Spears shared during an interview with Elvis Duran and the Z Morning Zoo on Monday, August 29, that she doesn’t remember her first-ever MTV VMAs performance 17 years ago.
“I think I was with ’NSync when I performed for the first time,” she said, while trying to recall her iconic 1999 performance. “I think the whole setup was a classroom, and my four main dancers were in the front at their desk and I came out of my locker. But, you know what, I don’t remember at all. I have no recollection. I couldn’t tell you anything about it.”
The princess of pop, who performed her latest single “Make Me…” with G-Eazy during the 2016 MTV VMAs on Sunday, August 28, at NYC’s Madison Square Garden, offered up her smash hit “…Baby One More Time” in 1999 alongside ’NSync.
During her debut VMAs performance, Spears, 34, worked a purple two-piece outfit before Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick joined her on stage to perform their hit “Tearin’ Up My Heart.”

She has no recollection but she just described it in detail
She must have seen a picture of it or something, I always wonderhow artists who have been on multiple tours, do multiple tv performances, award shows, retain any particular performance
