Being someone of mixed descent I have no idea if white pride exists in a non extremist way. I know stuff like KKK exists but they believe in the superiority of white ppl over other races. A moderate white pride does not truly exist (or I have yet to see it). But why is that? Like why does it always end up becoming something so extreme and racist?

In my opinion, "pride" in general exists with other communities because of oppression so there needs to be a sense of pride in who you are to encourage yourself and others in your community. However because white ppl are systematically privileged in society they do not feel a sense of pride or need to become prideful to encourage themselves and the one's that believe that they do end up transforming it into an extremist thing.

Can a person be white and proud without being racist?...no sorry idk why but pride is for minorities. Same reason people don't (shouldn't) take pride in being straight or skinny. It's not really necessary since you're a part of the "ideal" majority and are automatically seen as better by default in the eyes of society imo.

It's ok to be proud of being white and your heritage when you are not being a supremacist .

Black pride is being proud of your color despite the fact that society and history tells you you shouldn't be.
Same for gay pride.

White pride is racism.

I don't see anything wrong with being proud of being white but I've literally never seen someone who was all "WHITE PRIDE!!!" who wasn't also all "KILL ALL ******S!"

im proud of my polish heritage i dont take "pride" in knowing that in white racial characteristics that have been promoted as "superiour" throughout history because i don't need to extend that racist narrative any longer

It's just I have yet to see white pride not be superiorist sis!

I live in a mostly white town in MA, and people here are strongly tied with their European ethnicities and religious traditions. There's even a giant carnival & festa that is thrown to celebrate a religious holiday (and being Italian, basically) that every people of every religion and race go to. I don't really see the issue with this kind of inclusive celebratory pride.

Nothing wrong with white pride but thank your ancestors for messing up the meaning.

"White Pride" is pointless for a culture that already overwhelmingly support them. Same for straight pride. Other races don't get it as good at all.

Inclusive pride celebrations of nationalities would be the only way I could see white people participating in a pride that very vaguely aligns with their race - it would be more about heritage and ancestry than anything.

As a white person saying this, there is no need for white pride because we don't need it, it's the "ideal" where as minorities Deserve to feel proud about there culture because society has told them it's bad

I wish people would cut the ****. Some people do think consciously and subconsciously that because they're born white they're better than someone non-white. They'll never say, "Thank God I was born white and not black," but they definitely think about it on a subconscious level. If we don't admit these things and start to change that type of thinking, things will remain the same.

Okay, there are many variations (for a lack of a better word) of the white race. There's Greek, French, Italian, Sweden etc.. So why would it be racist to take pride in where they come from?

Jews and Irish did face oppression, and in you opinion, they should have pride, but they will be racist in doing so? That doesn't make sense.
