I made an instagram post earlier today since these pics made me so happy for some reason, might as well share it here since this place generally seems so vile towards her.

For some reason, this picture of Christina Aguilera makes me intensily happy - Sure, she didn't have her public breakdown like certain other pop stars such as MJ, Whitney and Britney did. But being a fan since the days of Genie in a Bottle; I can't help but thinking she went through a lot of **** all these years. Her anxiety problems, growing up in a family wrecked by domestic violence, being sexually abused, a divorce that made her completely spiral out of control and leading to rumored alcohol abuse and even a night in jail. And always that damn media that have been out there for her ever since she went 'dirrty'; even to the extreme lows of defamation of her character and admitted sabotage during her Bionic era. All I see now is a woman coming to terms with herself and her past. Coming full circle; creating the careless and loving environment for her children that she never had the privilege to grow up in herself. Her music kinda seemed like a side project during the last few years, which admittedly irritated me a lot given her potential and talent, but seeing these kind of pictures; I totally get her - She is doing exactly what we all should do in life. I guess this beats all kinds of artistic accomplishments, number ones and pop culture moments that are already part of her still-growing legacy. In the end she not only overcame a lot, she has WON and I am damn proud of my girl.
I thought the title was referring to them playing Mario Party for her birthday. But this is really cute. I wish I had a Mario themed party when I was a kid.

However, what you mean by "sexually abused"? I know Christina has shared stories of those older men trying to take advantage of her back when she was starting her career, do you mean that?
But this is really cute. I wish I had a Mario themed party when I was a kid.
