LePage also repeated his oft-touted line that he believes 90% of drug offenders in Maine are black or hispanic out-of-staters.

Maine’s chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union promptly pointed out that if black or hispanic offenders are getting arrested more often than white offenders (in a state that is 95% white) it’s likely due racial profiling.

Funny how all these white people in positions of power are proven racists yet systematic racism doesnt exist and black or hispanic people are just lazy or complaining. Just imagine how many officers, teachers, judges, job employers, senators, etc are racist yet the black and hispanic community not succeeding is because we dont try hard enough.

This is a very ignorant statement. New England people, while severely lacking diversity, are extremely open-minded and nice people. They also lean very heavily blue, that one governor just happens to be a Republican.
