They were proclaimed over in the fashion world two years ago when the wide leg/culottes trend was all the rage.
It turned out that the "skinny jeans are dead" thing was premature because their sales are still as high as ever. They've become a "new classic" that probably will never go out of style, or at least for the following 5 years or so.
Only jealous people with short or fat legs would want them canceled, so not.
