there's no free health care in north america. the country is poor and they're so behind that yo can only vote for one out of two parties/candidates in the election. almost everyone there small minded (see the reactions to ellen degenres making a joke about an olympic champion). killing people is okay, but sex, See You Next Tuesday and the F word are wrong. prostitution is still illegal.. i can go on
edit: I first said almost everyone in the US is racist, but I think there's little difference compared to europe. in europe people just handle it better. (not politically - wilders, le pen, sarkozy.. they're racist., but socially when it comes to normal people you see every day. europeans dont LOOK for racism everywhere. people can take a joke. they're not "offended" at everything just because they think they need to be. they have more common sense and are less dramatic. Grounded sounds like a good word to use here. we know how to choose our battles, what's worth getting angry about and what isnt. although twitter/social media is slowly changing this unfortunately with european youth today.
