17 are probaly the closest group to NCT Dream in terms of the whole
boring softer image. Although I disagree, I've also seen people say Chewing Gum sounds like a Red Velvet song so maybe you'll like them too.
Some of my fave groups: Wonder Girls (general theme is "retro" - they've done 60s Motown, 70s, 80s inspired stuff as well as general dance-pop), f(x) (more-left-field-than-average pop), pre-2014 2NE1 (urban influenced electropop), Stellar (kinda difficult to name a recurring musical pattern, as a group their concepts and music videos are big on sexual imagery),T-ARA (electro/dance, also have other good stuff though) and 4Minute (similar to 2NE1).
Oh yeah, all my suggestions are girl groups, someone else would have to help with boy groups - they're not my cup of tea.
Platonic Love was great too.
I wasn't expecting Automatic to sound like that after listening to the other two but this is amazing. One Of These Nights and Be Natural are my favorites though!
