Discussion: Has anyone worked for Gap/similar retail?

So I am thinking of taking a part time job at Gap at the local mall for extra cash. It would be 15ish hours a week and just seasonal, probably just 3 nights a week. Has anyone ever worked for Gap? Did you like it? I've heard nightmares about working in retail tbh. They also haven't told me what the pay is yet...could be a deal breaker.
For those who have worked any retail did you like it or is it rly bad?

Gap is all right but they push you hard to sell credit cards that no one wants and some of the women who work there are really catty and annoying.

I would rather work somewhere "younger" like American Eagle or Express.

No matter where you work in retail you're gonna have awful/rude customers from time to time. Honestly you should welcome it because it teaches you how to deal with more intense situations and people in the work place. I worked retail for 3 years and have been called every name and 99% of the time for things out of my control. It sucks but honestly its a good experience to have. It makes you really appreciate things like doing well in college and how to be a well mannered individual to workers when you are the customer.

Also you're probably gonna make minimum wage or just a bit above it.
