Exactly. Why the hell would she release a single on an exclusive streaming service after her last pop single peaked at #76, becoming the lowest selling single of her career? And let's not even get into... Other things
If it was an Apple Music exclusive it would've debuted at like #15 or something. Now, I think it will debut at #11 or #12. If she releases the video on the same day, then I'll say around #7.
ARTPOP was doomed from its birth. With the lead single that weak (imho). The whole Katy vs. Gaga thing.
But LG5 didn't even get the chance, it was downright aborted. It's comical but god damn it can we just have an amazing start for once.
I think she should still release it next month, as planned - just without the Deal is all. Maybe she'll push it back like a week (I'm assuming it was originally gonna be released on the 16th; so like the 23rd) just to line up some other things last-minute. She can overcome this easily, and it's probably for the better.

I like the idea of Gaga doing a teaser commercial like Adele. That would be perfect. She should include a snippet/remix of the song alongside the graphic for the single, and then quickly announce the release date at the end.
