That's quite insensitive to use the word rape in that way, but I don't think it normalizes the practice itself. Boys will be boys is used to justify stupid ****, but I've never seen it used to justify rape.
Friend zoning is not rape AT ALL wtf So you're calling Gordo from Lizzie McGuire a product of rape culture?? Friend zone just means you have more feelings for the other person than they are expressing to you, but they do it so in a way you never know if that next step is possible. I've friend zoned people and they're not a product of rape culture.

I'm not assuming anything. The legal system will determine whose story is more probable, and even though that might not be the truth, that is what most likely occurred. If it so happens that Dr. Luke s innocent, then that will be dealt with. However, I think it is unlikely for a female to falsify a rape claim, and that statements such as "she's a liar" are the reasons that more women don't make their assaults known to authorities.
Using the word "rape" out of context does not normalise the practice itself, but more so lessens the gravity of the word. If somebody uses "rape" in a sentence like "Far out, the other team raped us", they probably do not understand or think that it is inappropriate at all. It is kind of like saying "Wow, that's gay". You are lessening the meaning of the word and using it in the wrong context, thereby diminishing its value.
I understand what you mean by the friend zone just being what happens when feelings are not reciprocated by one party, but it still comes from a place of entitlement. It practically blames the woman for not consenting.
That's what I think anyway.
