^ I don't think that even premiering things on AOL or YAHOO would give any song any boost... It would need to be perfectly marketed for it to happen, and even if, thousands of people would minutes later upload it to YouTuBe and gain those million views....

If they embedded it on ladygaga.com as well as removing youtube videos then it could have worked.
Although I think she's in some sort of deal with vevo to give them the premieres
I seriously can't believe Billboard haven't added youtube/vevo to the streaming section of the formula yet

Telephone has few versions outside the official one on YouTube, though. Interscope has done a good job at blocking those.
I think it would change things if the première was on Y! and Aol and was announced on Facebook, twitter with links. Plus the song already has downloads and airplay so just 8-10 million views on Aol and Y! could easily get it to number one. Hopefully they do that for Alejandro.

the problem is that if u search " lady gaga telephone" on youtube there isn't the official video!
Even if Billboard ever included Vevo, the calculations would be totally different, and will be adjusted to the popularity of Youtube compared with AOL and Yahoo.
I think it would be something like, 500,000 ~ 1,000,000 Views for one point

youtube/ vevo blocked it..
It's true, you need to sign in because you have to be over 18. But, there really any 'non-official' versions around, meaning that if Interscope premiered it on Aol people wouldn't be able to just up it to Youtube because the non official version get removed.

Interscope can't premiere it on AOL they have contract with Vevo

Yes. We wouldn't have songs going #1 based on streams either....
Does anyone know if page views or full views till the very end count? It would be kind of stupid to count just page view, but it's obvious that none of the people who clicked the links really watched it.

I've wondered this too. I watched them until it moved onto the next video (In My Head) to make sure - actually I left it playing in a separate tab while I did something else
I hope it's page views though! (I'm pretty sure it's page views on YouTube)
