Live performances only help a song when they are fairly new! Look at Blah Blah Blah, even AI couldn't help it, and AI have done miracles to a songs before.
Even though I think that Lady Gaga will perform on Idol, I think she'll chose to perform Speechless / Alejandro instead.
Telephone is promoted to the fullest, #1 on Pop songs, over 25M views on Youtube! Only thing that can really help it is maximum support from the fans..
