I feel like yt folks only started caring about Bey around Single Ladies so… That's all in your head. It's not her fault the media reports everything she does. She's just living her life, as privately as possible.
This is why I can't stand the new Beyoncé. That's so try-hard and cringey, no offense.
Yaah, maybe because the thread is about the new Beyonce???
Not everyone has to love her, the media has praised her non stop for so long that any bad word about her becomes unnatural to the hive's ears. Sorry that's not normal.
There's nothing "try-hard" or "cringey" about that. It's actually telling those who try to put her on God level (as some stans and media do and get criticized for it), that she is just a mortal being created by him. She isn't better than anyone. But you're so ignorant that you find THAT to be "try-hard and cringey". SHUT UP.
I think Beyonce does it as a marketing strategy. If you make yourself more scarce, inaccessible, exclusive, etc. then it makes people want you more, and makes people talk about you a lot more when you actually do something. It also gives the impression that your product is of more value if it's difficult to obtain (whether it's a performance, her music, an interview, or whatever else).
I think after the 4 album it hurt her. It wasn't a flop but it must have been less successful than she wanted it to be, so she probably thought things through a LOT and decided to try a different strategy in the future to have more success.
I think 4 was a brilliant album personally, but she released it in the middle of the dance-pop craze when pop radio wouldn't touch anything vaguely urban. And it was before streaming was included in the charts as well. It wasn't a climate she could've done well in unless she sold out. The other option was to avoid it completely like people such as Pharrell and Justin Timberlake did.

I’m not just referring to this thread.
But again, you're holding her to a hypocritical standard. She isn't humble. She humbles herself. She is try-hard.
So when she let's the media and GP worship her as a god she's pretentious but when she also addresses it and says she's not a god she's a try hard?
Beyoncé even having or wanting to address something so stupid is the problem.
When the Bey Hive sends death threats and promises to sexually abuse Rachel Roy and her teenage daughter, it's all fair game to Beyoncé, and she doesn't care, but when the media calls her a "god" she must speak up about it? Lmao, save it. Her act is so transparent. That "I AM NOT GOD" thing only further perpetuates the propaganda that she is one, it's subliminal and she knows what she's doing.
Everything with Beyoncé these days is either a marketing tactic or a publicity stunt, that's why she is so unlikable to me now.
When Vogue gives you something as massive as the September cover and you can't even give them an interview...that's so disrespectful to the publication.
When the BET awards give you an award and you ditch the event to get on your private jet, can't even give them a thank you speech...that's so disrespectful to the committee.
Take off your stan goggles for once, and you will see how much she thinks she's above everyone and everything...
Beyoncé seems stuck up nowadays, she was so sweet in her earlier years though (yaah she was shady in DC but at least she was real).
I miss the old Beyoncé.
Constantly putting zero effort on stage, barely singing your songs and allowing the backing track to do most if not all of your work for you is extremely disrespectful to your fans and people who spend hundreds of dollars to see you in concert.
Keep missing the "old" Beyoncé. She's a mature woman now, sorry she has evolved as an artist and a person. Either grow with her or move on. She's not going to go back to how she used to be and you'll just have to deal.
If you were a real fan you'd just want her to be happy.
As a fan it kinda does suck a little not having interviews, it makes her seem more distant and doesn't let you 'connect' with her but if it makes her happy I can live with it.
She was bigger in Sasha fierce lol. She was EVERYWHERE and actualy got WW hits and stuff.. she's just on another level now I guess but success wise Sasha fierce was her peak.
I just miss interviews and things like that, the media recognizing talent is not her fault, fume some more that it aint your fave they're obsessed with
and LOL at hazard hiding behind ANOTHER artist more successful than its true fave (gaga) SHE is the epitome and thinking shes above **** and she doesn't have the status bey has to justify it, hang it the **** up

The hits got her to where she was, but at some point your amount of his become meaningless. You're already there. You have to go beyond all that.
She hasn't had a #1 in America in nearly 8 years, and yet she still is one of the biggest and brightest stars in pop music, continually adding to her resumé of impressive career highlights.
At least Beyoncé always gives her all on stage to her fans who pay money to see her. At least Beyoncé doesn't turn up hours late to her shows and then gives half-assed performances. Not everybody does that.
Rihanna is not relevant to this thread.

Exactly, tell that to the Hive who keep bringing up Rihanna, Gaga and other stars who do not belong in this thread.

I love Rihanna and Britney, like Gaga and Xtina.
That has nothing to do with the nature of the thread though? Stay on topic.
Even when people like Madonna, Britney and Gaga were at their peaks (which were monumental and much higher than where Beyoncé is now) they didn't act stuck up, still gave interviews, didn't mouth off telling the other "bitches" to "bow down"
Beyoncé needs a slice of the humble pie, bringing up Rihanna, Gaga or whoever else won't change that.
The new Beyoncé wants to ban the word "bossy" because it's sexist but has a song with these lyrics:
I know when you were little girls
You dreamt of being in my world
Don’t forget it, don’t forget it
Respect that, bow down bitches

One of the many reasons I don't like her anymore.
It's like you read 1 hater article and now can only think of those same tired things.
How many times must we tell you that bitches in the song does not refer to women as a whole but HATERS.
Banning the word bossy is in relation to only calling women bossy when they speak up.
And I know I've asked you this before but you had never answered. If a black rapper made a song about haters and referring to them as the n-word, is he racist? Probably not. So Beyoncé is not "mouthing off" and being sexist.
And did someone say that Madonna didn't act stuck up? The same lady who loathes hydrangeas, who superiorly and haughtily told her interviewer to look up a word and as just two recent examples?
I do miss the fun and more spontaneous side of her, her music and image nowadays seem very calculated and planned to me. She's got this "unattainable" quality to her now, and while her lyrics seemingly get more personal, I can't relate to her as a person at all, because at the same time she seems to be further from us than ever.
