I prefer SB to Demi and I agree that a lot of people know their music without knowing them (Rill Rill from Apple ads, COTG from The Bling Ring, Infinity Guitars from Kickass, End Of The Line from that perfume ad that spammed UK TV last year), but Demi is far bigger.
