Lil Poopy, whose real name Luis Rivera Jr., has signed a four-year deal with Sony-Epic label which boasts big name artists such as Outkast, Timbaland, P. Diddy and Jennifer Lopez.

The young rap sensation gained notoriety aged nine when he appeared in a music video where he called himself a 'cocaine cowboy' as he rapped about money, hoes and kissed fistfuls of cash.

It also showed the youngster spanking a grown woman's behind, as he sang about being a 'bad boy' and a 'coke boy' and plans to 'make a girl my groupie.'

The video shocked parents across the country and even prompted a child abuse investigation, Enterprise News reports.

Luis Rivera Snr., the Massachusetts father of Lil Poopy, was hit with the charges in February 2013 after authorities claimed the boy's sexually suggestive videos, amounted to child abuse.

But Rivera argued his son was merely acting in the videos, where he is featured slapping women's behinds, riding in a Ferrari, throwing wads of cash in the air and dancing with girls twice his age.

His father likened the boy's spanking gestures to the way that baseball players commend each other during a game.

At that age... Why aren't you in school or something? At such a young age, rapping about all of that. Epic will eat him up and spit him out afterwards. He's a kid and it will be easy for Hollywood to take advantage of him.

I was literally just going to say this. What's worrying too is that society, and most importantly his own goddamn family, probably don't mind it and see it as a bit of fun - they probably see it as him being ~the man~ or whatever .
