It's an issue when Gwen Stefani was topping the charts with sounds and looks of Asian cultures, but then we don't have any actual Asian pop stars.

Rihanna gets away with cultural appropriation.
For once i'd like to see one of these 3 black artists get slammed by everyone that writes these essays about Gaga, Katy, Gwen, etc. If you want to be on a moral/political pedestal than spread that knowledge on everyone. Not just the whiteys you want to take down. This isn't about cultural appropriation, this is about a political agenda.

It's really not just Gwen. Everyone's always been doing it, it's just that no one cared about these thing until recently. Madonna has literally done the exact same things as Gwen in the OP even prior to her.
She's an artist, she can do whatever the **** she wants with whatever influence she wants and doesn't have to consider anyone's opinions on it. She GOT AWAY WITH IT, sold MILLIONS of albums, and made millions happy with her music. FUME, SJWs, FUME!
If by "get away with it" you mean escape hate from dummies on twitter, then yes. But that's because Gwen peaked when these dummies were still in diapers.
