Good. Had this been any real person of color (I don't care about the "Latino" angle some media outlets are trying to push), they would have been crucified. The way Gabby was dragged by white folk on social media for not putting her hand on her heart during the National Anthem was handled way worse.

Ryan Lochte is a moron, truly one of the stupidest celebrities, The Situation-level of stupid, and the reason why the world hates Americans. That being said, who really cares that he lied? No one really cares. No one was hurt and Ryan Lochte was caught in a lie, and not even a real interesting one. Move on. Either take him off the team or don't, the bottom line is, no one cares that a group of Caucasian frat boys got in trouble in Rio. The whole "controversy" is contrived. And Ryan Lochte is probably secretly loving the attention, because there was no real reason to go on TV with Matt Lauer in the first place. Just release a statement and be done with it. Eh.. Brazil was hurt by his lies. The US & Western media pounced on the Rio games and used Ryan Lochte as an example to portray Brazil in a negative way. Brazil depends on tourism and do you really think hearing about an Olympian being robbed would not make people think twice about visiting Brazil. It is actually sad how many people I have seen on the internet saying how it is not a big deal, how Brazil is a S*** hole anyway and disregarding the lie because it was in a foreign country where it doesn't impact Americans. But when he was a victim, it was all about dragging Rio as incompetent. Y'all want people not to generalise Americans based on Lochte's actions so then you need to treat Brazil with a similar respect and accept that Brazil is actually a victim here.
