Two year-end #1s, and long running weekly #1s, Boom Boom Pow and Tik Tok, were available as free downloads. Lots of other smaller hits too.
I don't remember Boom Boom Pow being free officially. I literally went to Beyonce's website and downloaded the record company sanctioned high quality version of the track. That wasn't the case for Tik Tok or Boom Boom Pow.

Tik Tok was available for free on her site at one point.
Best case is High School Musical - Breaking Free went #1 on Digital Songs while being free on Disney.com
Sometimes songs can still have success while legally being free.
Just like all these random achievements and lack of understanding comparisons between hits is your own imagination instead of something tangible and important?
And don't try it because I like TC more than Halsey and like the song more for Andrew than Ashley. I'm just not gonna deny the wonders having a mainstream hit coupled with her huge fanbase is gonna do for her
The discussion at hand is "NM sales are a bit weak." It peaking #17 in sales is a receipt for...it being weak in sales.
Again with this ********. It literally spent 25 weeks in top25, (more weeks than any song in the chart) it peaked so low because it is a consistent seller since January.
