I know they are Romance languages because they descend from the language of the Romans, but many people say the languages sound romantic. Do you find this to be true?

They're Romance languages because of the Rome connection, but many people do associate those languages with 'warmer' or 'passionate' cultures compared to the colder Northern European cultures

Poor Catalan always getting ignored as a Romance language.

I clicked the second option for only because Portuguese and Romanian don't sound romantic at all, especially Portuguese is a very ugly language imho.

Spanish and French are the only romantic ones to me, but Brazilian Portuguese is my favorite romance language.

French, Catalan and Italian are my favourites and sound very Romantic to me, European Portuguese sounds like a mumbled mess, Brazilian Portuguese sounds strange, but I don't mind it and I'm not a fan of Spanish tbh, I've only heard Romanian in songs and it sounds like French.

Brazilian Portuguese is sexy. Seriously. It always sounds like theythey're trying to inititiate a sexual encounter, even when they're angry.

Brazilian Portuguese sounds kinda passive aggressive and monotonous to me.


Spanish spoken by Argentinians is cute and sounds neat with their subtle Italian accent. Puerto Rican Spanish is the most sexy and Dominican Spanish always soubds agrreasive and unnecessary. No offense to the Dominicans here.

Oh and French is a gorgeous language. Probably the most "beautiful" of the romance languagem. Shame French people aren't as welcoming and warm as Latin American people tho.

I haven't heard Greek spoken irl, but Hebrew and Russian sound ugly as hell. Interesting languages to learn tho.

Yasss stan for my Spanish But honestly most people think we all speak like Reggaetoneros(We don"t) and dislike our accent My family comes from a rural part of Puerto Rico and drag their R's instead of rolling them so the double R sounds more like a french R. Its quite tragic But I dont speak like that Also I know some Dominicans who speak a very pretty Spanish, but no one beats the Colombians

Yeah Dominican spanish is bit more aggressive but overall I think they sound the same
