This is an ideology I've been noticing more and more online and more recently in the real world as well. Why does the liberal left (which I am a part of mind you) seem to feel that being white and having the very real privilege that comes with it negates or cancels out any struggles or oppression that may come with being LGBT+, a woman, disabled (physically and/or mentally), etc? Of course, no one will outright say it, but the implication is heavy in the air, at least from what I'm seeing. I know some will think this is just a flamebait thread, but I honestly don't mean it to be, I really want an honest discussion. To make this more personal, yes, I am white, and I realize that as a white person, I enjoy privileges that POC unfortunately and unfairly do not, but I find it very unfair and actually hypocritical when the far left tries to erase the **** that comes with being a gay man because of that fact.
