I need to listen to this again. It all kind of sounds a bit samey to me but Frank's music has always been those types that need repeated listens in order to click with it properly.
On first listen, I'm not feeling it at all. Not saying it's a bad album, but it's not for me. At all. It all blends into one long song. It has no lows but no highs either. I loved Pink + White, Nights and Seigfried I guess. I obviously plan to listen to it in full once more, at the very least least, so maybe it will grow. But Channel Orange is one of the best albums I've ever listened to, and, even on first listen, I can tell there's no Lost or Bad Religion or Pilot Jones or Super Rich Kids on this.
But that's what he wanted to put out and I respect that.
