Extremely unlikely happening in our life. Whilst the tension with Russia in the last 5 year or so has created that narrative, Russia and the US are still very close economically, and, Europe is especially. That and Russia knows it would be obliterated by Europe and the US combined if it came to it.
So if it does happen, it won't be Russia. It'd likely start in the Middle East somewhere.

Actually, we'd be less safe with Jill. Our foreign policy would be immensely weaker, and the world would take note. It would immediately make us more of a target. Jill being against war doesn't mean there wouldn't be one.
I don't see WW3 happen in the near future. I don't see anything that could indicate a conflict nearing us on that scale. WW3 is not even in Putyin's interest.
The future is bright for local conflicts in the middle east and north africa and terrorism in europe (in particular France, Belgium and Germany).
