The thing with Gaga is that she's coming off of an underperforming era. There's not much hype other than fans. The charts are different now than they were in 2011. Now, streaming is crucial which is something Gaga lacks. She needs streaming points to chart high, and she won't get that in her first week, it takes time. Meghan came off of a smash era and NØ debuted with 113k downloads & 46m AI, yet she still didn't debut in the Top 10.

I understand why they announced so we know aug.19 and aug.26 are not happening and same with the vmas, and could you of imagined the meltdowns when it was september 1st and there was no new gaga single? It was good to prevent that but i had a month early announcement it kills some of the hype
