"Well I never lived the dreams of the prom kings and the drama queens"
Our final Mayer song, No Such Thing, bows at a respectable 9th place in this rate. Bet ya'll didn't expect that huh .
No Such Thing describes and discourages the idea that there is a rea world and a set path that all should follow and Mayer is telling is essentially telling us to follow our dreams. As much as I loved this track, I didn't expect it (or him for that matter) to make it this far. Can't say that I'm disappointed though . It's incredibly relatable and honest lyrics as well as catchy melody pushed it by and large ahead of all of the other songs on the album .

"We could toast to the good life, girl, we could have it all"
Well at least he's not talking about guns, killing and violence . The next song to go is the #3 peaking hit single P.I.M.P. It's no surprise this track made it as far as it did either considering it's instrumental is super memorable and catchy and he’s not being as violent as he normally is. I actually heard a remix of it with All In My Head on the radio a few weeks ago. True story.

He may not like it, but he certainly can distinguish it
"Should've been more smart about it. Should've cherished me"
Whew. It's nothing but classics on classics on classics leaving right now. The intro alone is iconic. "Don't leave your girl around me, True playa (playa) for real ask my ***** Pharrell". The very next song to go goes to the ladies man himself for U Don't Have to Call. Much like P.I.M.P., this track's instrumental is super catchy and memorable enough to shoot the track into the top ten as well. On this track, Usher is singing about how his current boo has ditched for whatever reason and needs to find some love in the club once more.
"I know it's so unfair to you that I relate her ignorance to you"
Our last Usher song in this rate, U Remind Me bows out just outside the top 5 despite it's #1 peak.
Fun fact (sort of): I'm not sure if this is the case for you guys but I always thought U Don't Have to Call was the other #1 hit on the album (due to its iconicness) instead of U Remind Me . Actual fun fact, U Remind Me won him his first Grammy award for Male R&B Vocal Performance .
U Remind Me is about a man who meets a woman who seems like a nice catch, but he decides not to enter a relationship with her because she looks too much like an ex-girlfriend with whom he had a bad breakup.
"If you watch how I move you'll mistake me for a player or pimp"
Easily 50's most known/iconic/biggest/etc. hit, In Da Club is your quintessential party/club anthem. One of the most iconic rap beats of all time (at least top 5). Enough said especially because there's no substance to the song to comment on.

"That means guns, sex, lies, videotape, but if I talk about God my record won't get played, huh?"
Quite possibly Kanye's most polarizing single choice (yes even more so than Famous), the fourth single off his debut, like the title suggests is a song in which Kanye expresses strongly his beliefs in Christianity. Maybe God was on his side. I mean, not only did he survive his fatal car accident, the single became his third top 20 single (peaking at #11), went 2x platinum, and won him a Grammy .
