The first song to leave in this update has Kanye enlisting the help of friends and frequent collaborators GLC and Consequence to discuss the plight of the black man in the ghettos of Chicago. ‘Ye also discusses his work as a ghostwriter, explaining the lack of recognition he encountered, and how his demo tapes would get rejected – at the time, he was thought of more as a producer/writer than a rapper.
This is easily one of my favorite Kanye songs ever. Probably my second favorite on the album. The lyrics in the first verse are some of his best lyrics ever and the hook is such an amazing moment on the album. The production is super dreamy as well. "I wish I could buy me a spaceship and fly past the sky "

I'm surprised this got so far but it's my favourite "hard-hitting" song with feats on the album.
They all came through whew and the instrumental is so good. Love the Marvin sample

The next song to go is a track that shows Kanye explaining and telling stories that occurred/can occur in someone’s household (for better or worse).
Fun fact: none of stories about to told are actually Kanye's, but instead are those of Tarrey Torae, a collaborator on some of the songs on the album. She even sings "They don't mean a thang" towards the end of this track.
As of recently, this is has become one of the Kanye songs I relate to the most. Not in the case of the scenarios presented but in the overall meaning of the song. My brother has been really stand-offish to the rest of our family for quite some time and the members of our church have noticed that behavior as well. Some time back, he told our parents he didn't want to go to church anymore and as a result many of the members of our church took notice. Everyone wonders where he is and what he's up to and we just tell them lies to get them out of our face, cus that's family business not their business.

The next track shows Kanye celebrating the dealing of drugs as a way to rise up from poverty. Kanye used to look up to drug dealers as a kid because they were the only people he knew who could afford popular Starter brand jackets. In fact this song is an homage to the O.G’s still putting in work on the corner. To anyone who might judge him for idolizing these people, Kanye responds that they simply cannot understand, and that he cares little for their opinions anyway.

All I'll say for this song is if you know someone who truly hates Kanye but has never listened to any of his music besides his hit singles, tell them to listen to this and read the lyrics. I guarantee it'll change their outlook on him.

I didn't want to give out too many 10s so I pretty much had knock down a few. That said, This is a good place for WDC.
And whew I wish TTW made top 10 but it's fine.

What a great opener for this album!
I love how he incorporates children's voices into the album. When they beg their parents to stop fighting on "Family Business" and how the sing the powerful hook on this song
I believe in the children, listen to the kids, bro!
