It's simply because this chart is based on the songs' chartruns on the Hot 100 thus just dance being bigger here thanks to its bigger longevity derived from its sleeper hit status.
But Alejandro and Telephone were WAY bigger than Applause
It's taking chart run into consideration, rather than overall performance. Applause spent more weeks in the top ten due to airplay keeping it afloat while its streams and sales weren't necessarily carrying it.
