Synched with NBC's coverage of the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, which began Aug. 5 and run through Sunday (Aug. 21), "Rise" also debuts at No. 47 on Radio Songs, drawing 27 million in all-format audience in the tracking week (up 14 percent). Will the song remain a radio hit after the world's best athletes have departed Rio? "I love it," says Sue O'Neil, program director of both pop WKSE (Kiss 98.5) and adult pop WTSS (Star 102.5) Buffalo, N.Y. The stations played "Rise" 52 and 45 times, respectively, in the tracking week. "I love its anthem feel and positivity. I have no problem playing it after the Olympics to see if it's got legs."
