He wasn't trying to harm the chicken with the biting. The dog was just trying to get his mouth on the chicken's neck; it's a control mechanism, basically meaning "do as I want you to" or w/e. Dogs do it to other dogs, but that's a chicken...

Anyways, the PUPPY was in heat, they will hump literally anything to get off. The biting, as above, is just a natural thing. I couldn't distinguish though if it was the control mechanism or feeling threatened. Either way wasn't trying to kill the chicken. It was quite funny to watch.

That's a bodily change in female dogs (like menstruation), and they will allow males dogs to hump them for pregnancy, and male dogs detect that and follow her around try to hump her like his life depends on it. Other than that, male dogs just get horny all the time and hump things. Horny is what you meant, not in heat.

Oh yes I know of the actual process. Just when my dog (a male) goes humping stuffed animals and stuff we usually say he's in heat and laugh. Horny is a bit strong for my younger siblings.
